As it shows, you can use the wet container to turn wheat berries into a flour, as fine a mill as you like. I have the huge #10 cans of wheat berries from a Mormon center that sells to the public. If you want bulk grains that can be stored for many years, at a low price, check for a local Mormon food center near you.
Anyway, after just a few seconds your wheat is flour, gotta love VitaMix!

How to Use

1. Before starting, make sure that the blender is unplugged.
2. With the unit in the Off position, place the container on the blender base. Be sure the container is fully seated and that drive coupling is properly engaged. Plug the blender cord into an outlet.
3. Put ingredients into the container, being sure not to fill above the Max line. Cover the pitcher. Always hold the container with one hand when starting and while blending. Never operate without the jar lid in place.
4. Press the paddle switch to the desired speed, be it Hi or Low. To crush ice quickly, use the Hi speed setting. To engage the pulse option, hold the Pulse paddle switch in the lower position. The unit will run on the Hi speed until the paddle switch is released.
5. When finished blending, set the paddle switch to the Off position.
6. Allow the motor to come to a complete stop before removing the container from the blender base. Never place the container on the motor base or remove it from the motor base while motor is running.
7. Once blending is complete and ingredients are removed, wash and dry the container.

Pros:

Cons:

Expensive (not everyone spends $400 on a blender)

Loud (not appropriate for apartment living)

Bulky (its significantly larger than a normal blender)

When I unpacked this blender I knew right away that it is a very serious machine. The base is very large and heavy duty with two large switches. One is for pulse and the other high and low speeds. The engine is rated at 3 horsepower and power cord is very think similar to the cord used on a high power drill or garage tool. The unit itself has a geared metal socket that matches a toothed metal gear built into the carafe. No plastic clutch that can break. The lightweight polycarbonate carafe sits on four posts, but will need you to hold it down with your hand on top for it to work correctly. The blade is a four prong item that is splayed out and has a broad flat blade on each tooth. The idea here is that a super sharp blade isint necessary as this thing spins very very fast.

I was quite startled when I hit the pulse. This thing spins up instantly and is VERY loud. I would almost say twice as loud as a conventional blender. That said it is also very high speed and pulverizes frozen items with impunity. I put in frozen strawberries and this pulverized them so well the seeds were not evident. Ice doesn't stand a chance at all.

This device appears to be more powerful than the pro blenders used by the local smoothie place or a gym. It is every bit professional and I would challenge anyone to break this with ice or other items short of metal in the carafe.

Cleanup is a snap as everything is plastic or rubber. Gunk under the blades was also not an issue as you just fill the carafe with some water and a quick half second pulse cleans everything in the base.

I would caution people in that while this may be the last blender you will ever buy, it is not really a consumer appliance. This machine has as much in common with a standard blender as a chainsaw has with a hair clipper. I really like it but my neighbors hate it.

Five stars because it's the Lamborghini of blenders and the smoothies are amazing. But like an exotic car, it's not for everyone.

I really did my homework/research before deciding to buy this vacuum. I was also really clear about what I wanted/needed and I did not have unreal expectations.
A little background: I have a small open concept house with a upstairs and a full basement. All floor surfaces are wood, laminate, tile or concrete with a scattering of low pile floor rugs and one heavy pile wool rug. I have a husband that never takes his shoes off at the door which brings in all manner of debris, and one cat that sheds enough for three cats and continuously year round. Up until now I had been using two vacuums to clean the house with, an upright for the rugs, and a small stick vac for the floors. Since the stick vac is designed for small clean ups and not whole houses, the process has been quite arduous, taking approximately three hours to complete. I final realized how ridiculous this was and decided a new vacuum, one that could do all the floor surfaces, de-hair the couch, was strong enough to pick up the cat litter, and complete the job in less than one hour, was in order. That being said, I am a proud frugal yankee and I knew finding something to fit the bill and my budget was going to be difficult.
This little canister vacuum caught my eye as it seemed to be the answer to all my needs, including costs, but the mixed reviews had me hesitant. I finally decided to take a chance and purchased it. When it arrived, I could immediately understand why some folks would be disappointed. It looked very cheap with just about every part being made out of thin plastic. But I said to myself, how can you expect to get a vacuum at this price with out the manufacturer cutting corners everywhere? So I put it together and immediately tried it out. I was pleasantly surprised with all the extra touches on it that I had never encountered on any other vacuum before. It was light, quite, and picked up everything I encountered, even powerful enough that I was able to vacuum the scatter rugs without switching to the turbo head for rugs. Imagine my delight when I vacuumed fully one half of the house before discovering I was using the lowest power setting available on this little gem!
Overall I am extremely pleased with this vacuum and hope to get many years of use out of it. If you think this vacuum may fit your needs but you've been sitting on the fence, I highly recommend you take the plunge!

I received the Duraflame Chandler 23" Fireplace damaged. All 4 casters were broken. I called the customer service number at Factory Authorized Outlet and was transferred to Twin-Star customer service without even being told. Twin-Star customer service gave me a "problem ticket" number and said someone would call in 1-2 days. After one week and no call, I called back and gave the person the ticket number and was told again that I would be called. Almost another week and no call. The damage issue could be resolved with parts, however, I will now have to return the $230 item as there is no customer service.
