It's hard to put into words how much I regret buying this product, but to be fair, the problem is really the remote-switch system. Buying a fan with a remote switch is a HUGE mistake. I've been up on the ladder three times now, hoisting the 40-pound fan in the front room while trying to insert a screw at the same time, because I had to change the dip switch settings because somebody in the neighborhood got a fan, garage door opener, or whatever on the same frequency. Their signal would turn my fan or my light on or off, over and over. So there's that. (I'm not the only one with this story btw.) Then, I'm off to Radio Shack buying batteries (not your AA or AAA's, oh no - more expensive and hard-to-find ones) because the batteries in the remote don't last very long.

Get a fan with a wall switch. You won't know what you're missing, and that's a good thing.

Amazing how much you depend on your microwave when it quits! Ours quit and we found this unit that would serve our needs and ordered it. Took way to long to receive it but when it came we were happy. Till I open the box which seemed to be packed very well for protecting it in shipping. Unfortunately somewhere along the line from the whare-house to my front door either the whare-house people or the shipper which was UPS on my end must have dropped this unit along the way. The unit was dented on the left back corner which lucky for me is hidden when it is mounted to the wall. The opposite corner front right was also caved in and it doesn't look pretty but I will have to live with it and the bottom where the filters where the exhaust goes out was caved in too. So I set this unit up on the counter and tried it out with no issues on how it performed thank goodness and because I didn't have the time for returning and waiting 2 more weeks for another, I just accepted it and we deal with the cosmetic issues which really pisses me off, but I couldn't wait any longer to have a working microwave back in the house.
Very disappointed in the condition which it arrived. Even when UPS was taking it out of the truck and the box says this way up, it wasn't. UPS sucks and they always are walking up to the door and throwing down the packages whether its a pillow or a hard drive for a computer. Unit seems to work fine and I sure hope it lasts after being dropped. Get a new shipper that cares about the customers product!

Dyson DC47 Animal Compact Canister Vacuum Cleaner Review

I was really excited about getting this as I have other superior Dyson products. Unfortunately I'm not very happy with the Dyson DC47 Animal Compact Canister vacuum. After a minute my arm was tired from pushing and pulling the front aparatus and canister. The front doesn't glide smoothely at all. Also the the floor attachment bounces off the carpet as it is vacuuming so you have to make multiple swipes over an area to pick up the debris and hair. The debris canister is so small you might as well forget getting anything done in a hurry as you will spend all your time repeatedly emptying the canister; which is dumb for an animal vacuum which is supposed to pick up lots of PET HAIR. And don't expect to make it very far as the cord is SHORT! If you want to use this on a normal staircase be prepared to plug it in once at the top, STOP in the middle, and then plug it in at the botton and then finish working your way down the steps because there is not enough power cord to do it all in one trip. I don't recommend this at all.

Before I go on about how "great!" this machine is, let me just give you a heads up on checking the condition of your package and the contents (EVEN IF the package is in good condition). The package arrived in perfect condition. As I got home and began putting it together I noticed the front legs were uneven. Upon further inspection I found that the Vortex itself looked as if it had been dropped and smushed in the corner about a 1/4 inch. This caused the uneven legs. Everything has since been replaced and tonight I made my first batch. DELICIOUS!!!

Now on to the praise...

The Vortex is my first cotton candy machine and I think it is MAGNIFICENT!! This thing is an eye-catcher. It is very sturdy, wonderfully crafted, and the colors POP! The motor runs smoothly (I thought it would be loud but it's not), it's easy to carry and maneuver, and cranks out floss at a speed I wasn't ready for. I will be definitely working on my cone spinning technique. A nicely spun cone is a skill I underestimated.

I purchased the bubble dome separately and glad I did because there would be cotton all over my ceiling. Highly recommended if this is going to be done indoors. Plus the dome looks kinda cool.

I plan on purchasing more of these in the future for my party rental company and possibly branch out to other concessions from Great Northern.
