The Oreck Commercial OR101 Premier upright vacuum has a 12" cleaning path, Helping Hand handle, magnet bar, and 870-watt motor. This upright vacuum cleaner is better suited for cleaning carpets than typical canister vacuums and takes up less space for storage. The Helping Hand handle has received an Ease-of-Use Commendation from the Arthritis Foundation. The on/off switch is located in the handgrip for convenience. The vacuum contains a reusable cloth bag that is coated with an antimicrobial polymer that resists bacteria, mold, mildew, viruses, and corrosion. A roller brush with four bristle strips moves debris toward the vacuum inlet for cleaning. The magnet bar helps prevent small metal objects such as staples from harming the motor. Contrary to the suggested items listed for additional bags and belts (AVOID CLICKING THE LINK BELOW!!) this vacuum does NOT use the disposable Hepa Bags as most other Oreck vacuums use! It has the old Kirby style bag that you must detach and empty when it's full. There is no Hepa filtration and you need to clean out the bag. This unit is definitely an old-school style commercial vacuum cleaner but also note that the Warranty explicitly states that purchases from online sales like Amazon or eBay will NOT be honored, so you're taking your chances with this purchase. I assume these are seconds, because ours came with a big dent in the top. Also, it takes a very specific belt - not the typical Oreck belt they try to sell you here.

I had been looking at these on Amazon for a few months and finally decided to buy. My Wife was very hesitant but was willing to try it. We were amazed at how well it worked. I put a large pan with peanut oil in it, enough to fry french fries, and set it to 450...within 30 seconds you could see those distortions the oil makes at the bottom of the pan when it's getting hot. We've used both electric and gas and usually when you put the frozen fries in the pan the oil "cools" and has to reheat somewhat....not with this item. The oil quickly recovered it's temp.

The reason I bought it was mainly to cut down on energy usage during summer. The AC normally has to battle it out with the stovetop, this item however greatly reduces the heat output which is exactly what I was looking for. During the winter months we'll still use the gas stove since it both cooks and heats but this little jewel will be heavily used during the warmer months.

If you're sitting on the fence about one of these like I was, go ahead and get one, you won't regret it.

I've been happy with all of my GE Cafe kitchen equipment. We recently moved and opted to leave the Cafe Advantium over the range hood/convection/micro behind because we wanted a dedicated range hood with more air movement. In lieu of spending thousands on a built-in, we went with this "countertop" unit and couldn't be happier with its performance and size. It's really too big for the counter and we wanted the built-in look, so we left a few inches around the unit and trimmed it out with the same material as the cabinets. GE does have a built-in SS trim kit for this, but it's not worth the $200-$300 just to buy that kit. In any case, convection or micro - it works flawlessly.

Wow! I just cooked up some chicken the way I've dreamed of making it: small bite size pieces fried/steamed/ and crustied in a mix of oils: I used coconut, sesame and olive; and then a little bit of honey; and the juice of one lime.... This mixture never would fly in my electric fry pan - because of the many different heat levels I use.

I put the chicken in the oils and cook until it turns white and I put the lid on the pan so it steams through.

Then I add the honey and lime and throw in the lime skins for extra flavor, but then I turn up the heat really high to brown it; and then, here's the trick: I turn the heat off so it doesn't burn.

With the way induction heating goes, its really instant. Press the button and the heat goes up and down that quickly and it doesn't stay on the burner, just in the pan the food its being cooked in.

No more chopping and preparing while the meal is cooking--this is a quick way of cooking and everything needs to be ready to go, go, go!

I thought the cooktop would be intimidating. But I just turn it on, go to power and click the plus and minus thing. I haven't had a need to use the timer yet. I noticed when I click -- actually its just a very light touch -- like on a smart phone -- I noticed the temperature scrolled through the various settings from warm to stir fry.

It cooks quick or slow, depending on what number you put it on. This morning I fried eggs. I like the centers firm and no wiggly white stuff. I put them on a high heat to get them going, and a lower heat to cook it the way I like... and they were perfect.

This is the best cooking investment I have made. I'm going to get a ''magnetic'' saucepan and possibly retired the microwave, if I find a sauce pan with a pour spout. With all the fuss going on today about microwave food, I think its about time.
