I have had this unit since 1997, it should last forever.We use it for making iced tea and coffee at least once but mostly twice a day.
We have it on a $15.00 appliance timer so the water is not heated between 10pm and 6am (it only takes
15 mins to heat up the tank if it is off) I make coffee at 6:30am it takes 5 mins
to make a pot (I can make as little as 4 cups) then I turn it off till the evening when
we make tea. I got tired of buying the $20 coffee pots that only last a year.
