Nice OEM filter, very effective, replacing after nine months, no way these filters will last 12 months in a home with a dog and cat. While MERV 16 is nice, it's a bit more than 3 times the cost of a MERV 10; without major breathing issues, we can't justify the additional cost at this time, so we are returning to a MERV 10. One thing to be aware of with cheaper generics is the lack of air filter cabinet standardization. If you are technically savvy you can gasket the cheaper filters to get them to fit, but otherwise, if the size match is not exact, some air may flow around the filter, not through it, reducing effectiveness. Either pay a little more to buy OEM or carefully check the actually sizing, which is different than the official sizing, which appears to be rounded up or down to the closest inch.
