FoodSaver T000-18003 V3860 SmartSeal Vacuum-Sealer Kit Review

I'd been mulling over the idea of using a FoodSaver machine to freeze the LARGE quantity of squash and other vegetables we harvest every year, and finally decided to give this one a try. It's everything the literature says it is--an excellent way to protect foods from freezer burn, loss of flavor, et cetera. I've used everything that came with the kit as well as the two sizes of jar sealers available, and haven't had any trouble. To put up "wet" vegetables like squash, I followed the suggestion to prep and freeze them before sealing--used mini bread loaf pans that created bricks just the right size to fit sideways in a bag made using an 8" roll, allowing for a minimum of waste.

The ONE problem I had was that the kit came without the advertised "set of three Lunch & Leftover containers, [and] three Sandwich & Snack containers." There were only three containers in addition to the marinator and canister with cheese grater. When I brought this up with Amazon, they promptly shipped another unit, but it, too, was missing the second set of 3 containers. I emailed the FoodSaver Customer Service Department, and they explained the kit no longer contains the 2 sets of 3 containers each. They even offered to compensate me by sending a container, but I turned them down as I hadn't bought the unit directly from them.

Amazon was very helpful throughout, and the return was hassle-free, but I see the description is still inaccurate, so be forewarned.
