I have been a fan of FoodSaver forever. I had a 550 for a few years, then a 1050 for about 12-15 years. Those units are not even listed on the sites anymore since they are from about 15 to 20 years ago. It finally came time to upgrade to a new unit, and the others still work, with a little adjusting. I anticipate this one will last as long as the others. So far it is working wonderfully. Size is perfect and looks great in my kitchen. Nice to have the retractable hose, and not have to attach a hose to the machine. Also nice to have the roll storage. I had a whole separate bag holder/cutter that the old machine fit on and the bags fit in the back, you fed the bags through the bottom and out under the machine. Soooo easy, to just put the bag in the slot and it seals!!! This is such a change over the old ones, where you had to put the bag in, put the lid down, pull the levers on ether side forward and then push the button to start the seal. Sometimes needed 3 hands. I am so happy that all containers and attachments still work with it also. I am over the moon with the new machine.
