Miele S7580 AutoEco Upright Vacuum Cleaner Review

Even though this vacuum is a bit heavy (22 pounds, will give you a work out!), it is the best vacuum I've found for getting up pet hair. I used an Oreck and a Bissel and then vacuumed with the Miele. I was amazed at how much dog hair came up AFTER vacuuming with the others. The bag can be a little tricky to change (illustration wasn't the best) but once you figure out how it works, it's pretty simple. The HEPA filter on this eliminates the kick back dust you get from other vacuums. My allergies have improved a great deal since switching over. Plus I find it does a fabulous job on the hardwood floors!

GE PGS950SEFSS Profile 30" Stainless Steel Gas Slide-In Sealed Burner Double Oven Range - Convection Review

My wife and I just got this delivered on Sept. 22nd, which I believe is the first day it was available for sale as it's a new model. She's always wanted a double oven, and we don't have the space for the typical wall model in our condo. I must say it's quite the impressive sight. It looks expensive - and it should because it is expensive for a non-luxury brand. But you get what you pay for - the quality is there and you can see and feel the difference between this and your typical $1,400 range. It comes with an iron grill/griddle that runs on the center 5th burner (the existing grate must first be removed). The iron grates are much lighter than many stoves, so they are easy to remove for cleaning. GE has an excellent reputation for its gas ranges as per Consumer Reports, and I expect this one to be no different. The cooking performance has been excellent on both the stovetop and the oven so far. We haven't tried the convection function yet though, so can't comment on that.

It has a tri-ring burner which is basically three burners in one. It's kind of hard to explain, but really cool once you see it in person. You have separate controls for both ovens on the keypad, which is really easy to operate with just a touch. It can be locked for cleaning or to keep children from playing with it. The upper oven is the smaller one. It's good for pizzas, cookies, cakes, and other smaller food dishes. It's probably the one most people will use most often. The lower oven is the bigger one you'll use for roasts, turkeys and other bulkier foods. Both ovens have broilers, but only the lower oven has convection capability. A few notes of caution about this model: 1) You give up the storage drawer most ranges have, so be prepared to store all your pans elsewhere; 2) If you have problems bending down or picking up heavy food trays from down low, this model is not for you. The lower oven is basically on the floor and can be hard to access; 3) This model is slightly deeper than many ovens - be sure to measure before buying to ensure nearby cabinet doors and drawers will still open without hitting it; 4) Lastly, understand that this is a slide-in model, which means the sides aren't finished and you'll have a gap between the back of the range and the wall if your space isn't made for this type of range.

All said, this was a fantastic purchase, and we're very happy with it so far. At the time of this writing, according to GE this range is a one of a kind - it is currently the only double oven slide-in gas range made. There is a stand-alone version in gas/electric (finished sides and backsplash) and an electric slide-in version of this model for those who prefer those types of ranges. People who desire Wolf, Viking, Dacor, etc. need not apply, as this is not a wanna-be pro range meant to compete with those, as they start at $1-2K more. But it compares favorably with GE's higher-end Cafe and Monogram lines. If you're shopping for the top of the line of a mid-tier brand and you can afford one, I highly recommend this model.

As a previous Viking wine fridge owner, I've been spoiled. I wasn't expecting anything close given the fraction of the cost. I was duly pleased by what I got in this dual zone wine fridge.

The wine fridge shipped via freight which was a nice surprise. I would not have enjoyed receiving this delivery if had to get beat up by UPS package delivery. Scheduling the delivery ahead of time was also way more convenient than getting that annoying door tag when you miss the delivery. So it was off to a good start.

Packaging was plain but sturdy enough for the item. Handle bar had to be installed and was easy enough. Nice handle bar actually. Easy to grip with no sharp corners. The shelving is very very nice. It's wood trimmed metal shelving, which actually gives it more space in the interior. The shelves are fully removeable and I'm actually no using the bottom most shelf. I store my larger bottle on the bottom. Storage0wise it fits 28 750ml bottles with no problems. I'm actually surprised I a 15" dual zone unit could fit that many bottles. The actual installation was easy enough and I actually had this put into my library/bar room. Fits well and appears to be ADA compliant with the height, not something I was specifically looking for but was fine with me. The lighting is very sleek. Never realized white LED lighting could look this fancy. Each zone has it's one lighting to it's adequately illuminated. Controls are easy enough and the display is fairly true to actuals based on some basic comparison I did with an oven thermometer. Both zones are pretty distinct and good at keeping their own set temps. The unit itself also runs fairly quiet. I do use the room as a study at times and have not noticed it running in the background. I did catch it cycling once, but it's for the most part subtle. Forgot to mention that the lock on the unit itself was a plus especially with teenagers in the house! The one negative I had was the clarity of the temperature display, slightly difficult to read in lowlight situations.

This is actually a interestingly premium type wine refrigerator that may not have every single refinement of your top end fridges but is certainly not lacking in style and performance. Given the relative price, this is actually a really decent buy.

Going to keep this short and sweet. My wife was gifted this item eight years ago and has used it heavily. Last weekend the off switch broke. You had to unplug it to turn it off. My wife called KitchenAid to find out where the nearest place we could take it to be repaired. She LOVES her mixer and was devastated it had broken.
The nearest place fro repair? About 400 miles away. The operator and my wife spoke a bit more about the problem, then the operator put her on hold for about fifteen minutes. When she came back she said "We're going to claim this as a manufacturer defect and replace it for you for free."
Can you darned believe that? Seriously, can you believe it? After eight years? THAT is what customer service and product support is all about people! My wife was almost in tears she was so impressed. You just don't find service like this anymore. Thank you KitchenAid, you have earned our loyalty.
