I really like this product. Using the new capsules makes for no mess at all.

The machine is ready in minutes and if you want a quick espresso its so so simple.

I tend to pull a couple of shots before switching to the steam function for foaming the milk.
It gets up to temperature pretty quickly. I find it takes a good 2 mins to get the milk up to the right temp.
It makes good foam and I can make better drinks at home than places like starbucks.

It doesn't beat the coffee shops I frequent but then it wont. A decent coffee house that uses $14,000 machines, good grinders, excellent beans and knowledgeable barristas will win everytime.

But for that quick fix at home its great.

Its a small unit and it looks great on my kitchen counter. People comment on how it looks all the time. It looks more expensive than it is.

My first recommendation is that if you want to switch back to pulling a shot after steaming milk do not just press the cup button else it will take a while to cool down to the temp needed to pull a shot.
Instead press the cup button and immediately press the steamer button. This will expell hot steam through the wand and cool down faster. I dont think this is noted in the booklet but its a great feature.

Another recommendation is that you clean the wand right after steaming the milk. Its best to keep that as clean as possible and is easier to clean right after its been used than later on when its all sticky and clogged.

All in all a great machine for the money. Totally recommended and believe me I am a coffee snob and will only drink great coffee.

I purchased this Technivorm coffee maker (the silver version) about three months ago after poor experience with KitchenAid pro-series units (which are no longer offered). Researching coffee makers on-line led to several reviews where this product was praised for brewing coffee at the correct temperature, in accordance with certification standards of some sort, and lots of other gushing about how great it is. I just wanted a good quality, reliable machine to brew good coffee, and I don't want to have to replace it every 2 years.

The coffee quality is excellent and I suppose that has something to do with the temperature of the water, which is stated to be just under boiling (200 degrees F). The lid of the coffee pot incorporates a hollow mixing tube that is intended to ensure that the coffee mixes as it drips into the pot, to avoid stratification. it brews almost silently and is very quick. This all works perfectly and without any fuss whatsoever.

It is not a fancy coffee maker; it is somewhat industrial in appearance, has no timer, just the on-off switch and a separate switch to control the plate that keeps the pot heated once brewing is complete. One of the reviews that I read says that the styling has not changed since it was introduced in the 1960's. That appeals to me. It just does what is necessary, and my desire is that when the time comes to make repairs, it will be possible to get replacement parts and keep it in service. I am hopeful that the simplicity of the unit will mean that it will be reliable over time.

You should be aware that this machine is designed for Europe and does brew less than typical U.S. built coffee makers. It will brew 10 "European" cups, or 40 ounces of coffee. A U.S. coffee maker with 12 cup capacity will brew 60 ounces of coffee, or 1.5 times as much as the Technivorm.

The plastic parts are acceptable quality although in my unit the plastic control that is supposed to regulate the drip did break. I simply removed it and left it at what would be the full open position anyway.

If you like good coffee, grind your own beans (I do), and want something that is supposed to brew coffee at the proper temperature in order to achieve the best taste, then I think this is a very good quality product. You might have noticed that both Williams-Sonoma, and Sur la table, are promoting Technivorm coffee makers now, so it has hit the mainstream - which means that if you want something unusual that nobody else has seen before, you'll probably need to find a more obscure product!

It gets cold in Minnesota! We have a large family room in our older house with a horribly cold floor (it's built over a crawl space). I wouldn't think of sitting in this room without wool socks and slippers. Not any more! The rug buddy as transformed the floor into a cozy oasis where you want to keep your feet. I also believe it has warmed the entire room.

The room has a hardwood floor and an area rug. We installed the Rug Buddy between the rug pad and the rug. The installation was easy and except for the cord you don't see it or feel it when you walk on the rug (you feel the warmth but not the thickness of the Rug Buddy). My only complaint is the cord which I felt was too short.

I have owned this iron since Christmas and use it constantly. Besides having to iron my own clothes I am a sewer/quilter. This iron heats up super fast and as advertised, it doesn't spit or leak. Steam doesn't depend on the heat of the sole plate as there is a second heating element just for the steam, and let me tell you it gets HOT! And because the steam has its own heating element, this function is available at the iron's lowest temperature setting. I don't thing that's something most irons can claim. The other thing I like about it is the stay on feature - great for quilters. My only issue is that once you enable this feature, you have to unplug to disable. Simply turning the iron off doesn't disable, unlike the V100. (I know what you're going to tell me, I should unplug the iron whenever not in use anyway, however, I don't do this when I'm just going to take a break for 1-2 hours.) But when I forget to enable the stay on feature, all I have to do is touch the handle when I hear the automatic shut off beeps and the iron wakes up again. Very convenient. I would recommend this product.

The unit sat in my garage for over a year (warranty period exceeded). First use was great. Went to use about a week later and there was no fan or heater. Called Nesco. No warranty coverage, which technically and legally is certainly their right. I was given phone number of repair center.

Called repair center, they immediately (immediately) stated the problem was a blown fuse which they would send me for $8. With the warning the fuse was soldered onto the board.

I cut the fuse off, used some clips to attach the new fuse, and the unit works. The design looks flakey; the fuse is directly above the heating elements so it is not only dealing with the current, but also the heat of the unit. Given how quickly they 'diagnosed' the problem and what appears to be a marginal design I am very surprised there are not more failures documented in the reviews.

I shopped around for a -he- washer and dryer for about 6 weeks. I finally found this set on amazon which i would have never thought to have looked for. The price cant be beat anywhere and the machines are fantastic!! The shipping is free but only to curbside so you will have to be able to have someone take them in your house and install them. They arrived in about one week and had no damage from shipping. I have never owned a -he- washer and dryer set but so far am very impressed with them!! The wash machine weighs about 300 lbs so it takes some work to move it. Also needed to purchase separately are the hoses for the wash machine and a hose for the dryer. The y adapter for the dryer steam hose is included. A cord for the dryer must also be purchased. And you will need a good leveler. They were easy to install. I am really looking forward to seeing my power and water bill go down!! Very impressed! I would recommend this set to anyone!! Just the pedastals alone run 200 dollars a piece without the machines. They have all the bells and whistles and are cleaning my clothes well!!
