I wanted to post a review of this product after reading the only other 1-star review--I installed this recently into my master bedroom and absolutely love it! The deluxe model is the ONLY way to go in my opinion. I have a large Sun-Beam multi-function steam/spray iron (model # 48Z6 E91117 series L 4239-000) which does fit with proper placement in the ironing center.

> with my iron it HAS to be at the lowest position for the door to close.

The only reason I am giving this a 4-star review is because the board has to be at the lowest or the middle position for it to close.

Otherwise this is built very solid and easy to install--it makes ironing a breeze and very convenient. I will upload some photos soon

I did a lot of research on these machines and purchased this machine based on other reviews. I am very happy with my purchase but there are some things that you should be aware of. I have highlighted a couple of minor problems I had with the machine. The bottom line is that I highly recommend this shave ice machine. NO children should operate this machine for safety reasons. If you are looking for great shave ice and don't want to spend a fortune then get this one. I have made about 150 shave ice cups when I made this video. I will update this is any issues come up down the road.

Chef's Choice 1520 Angle Select Diamond Hone Sharpener, Brushed Metal Review

The sharpener arrived four days early so I commend Amazon on their speed of shipping. After opening the box it came in, I read the manual from front to back just to make sure I understood everything about this sharpener. I was still fairly unfamiliar how to hold the knife in the sharpener. So I started out with a large but cheap kitchen knife that was not serrated and I put it in the 15 degree slot. I thought 15 degrees should make this knife good and sharp, so away I went. On the first pass the knife didn't easily slide into either the left or the right slot. Ends up the alignment slots are a bit tricky to insert thick-bladed knives into and I noticed there are plastic tabs that are supposed to help hold the knife in place to keep the proper angle. So I removed a star from my review. I just couldn't figure out what was happening so I went online to youtube. There is a video that teaches how to sharpen knives with this model sharpener. So after the first pass through with both sides I inspected the knife and found (what I thought to be) was the sharpener took too much off the edge. I felt the blade, for sharpness; and it just wasn't that sharp. So I ran the knife through another seven times. Now it was getting quite sharp, but there were quite a bit of tiny shavings on the table where I was working. Next time I just put paper towel under the sharpener and it caught all the spare shavings. I ran the knife through the strop/polisher five times on each side, just like the book states. Make double sure you alternate from side to side on the sharpener because the manual says so. Also I noticed the reviews on the earlier model sharpeners noting the sharpener made scratches on the blades. It did not make any scratches on the blades and I frankly don't see how it could because everything in the sharpener except for the grinding wheel is plastic. Next I offered to sharpen my dads pocket knife. I again chose 15 degrees to try to keep the pocket knife looking good and making it quite sharp. Boy, was I wrong to do that. I looked at it and thought crap! That stupid sharpener took seriously way too much off the blade. Turns out that 15 degrees is quite thin and pocket knives (in my mind) should only be sharpened between 20 degrees to 23 degrees. In the end it does do quite a nice job on pocket knives as well as bigger kitchen knives. Next I tried a trickier knife. I switched to a one sided short but fat half-serrated pocket knife. The job I did was fair until I slid the knife in without watching what angle it was. I guess the plastic guide is easier to use with longer knives. I pretty much ruined that knife! The sharpener took way too much off the knifes edge. Oh well, it was only 5 dollars anyway. Just be careful with short knives because they're harder to keep straight while sliding them through the sharpening wheels. One last note about the sharpener. It doesn't sharpen all the way to the hilt on pocket knives. I'm not talking about the notch at the beginning of the blade, it's farther out than that. There's about an eighth of an inch past that on the blade that the grinding wheels just can't get to because of the plastic alignment guides. Pocket knives just won't go up into the sharpener far enough. On kitchen knives the handle is on top of the blade thus the blade slides all the way through. So I removed another star from my review. Yeah it sucks, but kitchen style knives end up quite nice. That's why I gave it three stars.

Minka Aire F569-ORB 52in. Supra Ceiling Fan Review

Yes, I am a fan of this fan! The bronze with wooden blades is very nice looking. The fan creates a lot of airflow and is great in my bedroom. There are two lengths for the downrod. I used the minimum-lenght downrod. From the ceiling to the blades, it's about 12''. With the light installed, the fan hangs down approx. 16.5''.

I love the remote control, but I also bought the wall switch. Both the remote and the wall switch can control the light independently of the fan, and you may dim the light which is a very nice feature. But do be aware that on this model, you need to manually slide the switch on the switch cup on the fan itself to reverse the rotation of the blades. The switch pushed to the left is for summer operation, and the switch pushed to the right is for winter operation.

I did about 95% of the assembly of the fan and then hired an electrician to install (I did not have an existing mounting box). I couldn't be happier! Great product, great price. Thank you!

We bought this for Christmas for our daughter and her family. She loves it. The size lets her make enough for the whole family (husband and 3 children). I can attest that pancakes came out perfectly. She has since made several things like french toast and grilled cheese sandwiches. The griddle works great. We are now ordering one for ourselves. She does not like the scraper that comes with it; it seemed to make "marks" on the surface. She uses a plastic spatula instead to scrape stuff off.

Mint Evolution Robotics Automatic Floor Cleaner with Pro Clean, 4205 Review

I bought this to replace a Scooba wet floor cleaner that, as with all Irobot products I have owned (5 in all) went wrong just out of guarantee. I despaired of getting a wet floor cleaner apart from Irobot. then I saw the Mint and figured it was worth a try. I got the 4205 as i had read reviews that the one without a reservoir dried up too quickly and I didn't want to go to the model above this one mainly because of price, there being no guarantee that it works well.
I was pleasantly surprised. It works very well. I would say apart from the grouting between tiles in my Kitchen it works better than the Scooba. How? Well in part because it is so easy to use. The Scooba involved Removing brushes, cleaning them, cleaning pipes, flushing the tank, filling, rinsing. All in all it might have been easier to use a mop. the mint you just fill the tank wet the cloth and it's ready to go. Therefore I use it more thus keeping the floor cleaner. you can also try different cleaning solutions, some of which work very well.
I have never used this just as a floor brush. I have a Karcher RC3000 for that but as a wet floor cleaner it is great and almost silent. Looks cool too!
Given hindsight I would have gone for the next model up. As the mint is so easy to use, it would be great to have a faster charge time and thus use it just like a mop when the floor needs a wipe. The 4205 and below have over 6 hours charge time, which is far too long really.
