I work in a Residence Hall at a large university and we purchased this for use at our programs and events. We've had the machine for almost a year now with no problems. Its fairly easy to put together and works great. Its very cute and adds a nice touch to any event. We purchased the one on the trolley and also a tabletop version. The trolley is great for portability and you can store things in the compartment underneath. Its also handy to have the little shelf to put salt shakers, bags, etc. The machine came with the scooper, measuring spoons, salt shaker, etc. Works great with the prepackaged all-in-one popcorn packs designed for these machines.

Whynter UIM-155 Stainless Steel Built-In Ice Maker Review

Been shopping around for ice makers for a while and all things considered this Whynter ice maker was by far the best value in terms of what I was looking for. This is not a heavy duty commercial output ice maker, but for a average user this is more than you would need. It starts of slow, but once the cycles get going the ice just keeps coming. Nice stainless steel door that looks a whole lot better than the boxy portables types. It's a nice size that fits in our bar counter perfectly. I bought a hose adaptor from the hardware store so that I can bring it out to the patio when needed.

This is a great value built-in. It's easy enough to install with zero handiness required. I had a couple of clarifications that Whynter customer support addressed perfectly. This has worked nicely through three holiday parties and one birthday party. Will update if anything changes.

Kenmore Progressive Upright Vacuum - 31069 - Red Pepper Review

When it came time to replace my vacuum I went to "Consumer Reports" and chose their "best buy", which was the Kenmore Progressive vacuum. As usual, I was not disappointed with their choice. The vacuum is lightweight, has excellent suction and very easy to switch between carpet and bare floors. It is also great on bare floors. The only thing I wish was different is the length of the hose. It takes too much time to unwrap the hose to make it longer for use with the attachments. I would still purchase the vacuum because it is that good. I don't like to vacuum but I can truly say I don't mind vacuuming since purchasing the Kenmore.

This Portable Ice maker from maxi matic is easy to use and has been a wonderful investment for me! With the HOT summer upon us here in sunny Southern California, it's very hard to keep up with our ice needs. Like myself and for those who DON'T have the luxury of having an automatic ice maker in your home refrigerator, this ice maker has helped me keep an ample supply of ice on hand without having to fill those little trays a gazillion times! Who wants to wait hours for those ice trays in your freezer or make constant trips to the market to purchase bags of ice??! I sure don't and now I don't have to! I love the fact that it only takes a short amount of time, about 15 minutes, to produce ice - it makes 1 sheet (24 ice CUBES, not those tiny little bullets). I wait until the reservoir is full then scoop the ice into plastic bags and toss into my freezer - WAY faster than waiting for those little trays to freeze and far less expensive than buying bags of ice at the market. It makes both small and large ice cubes which is great. The smaller ice cubes fit perfectly into my 'Kleen Cantine'(from REI). The BEST part about this awesome little ice maker is the CLEAR ICE!!! YES!!! This is the first machine that I have purchased that actually produces crystal clear ice and not the cloudy, pearlesque ice that one might normally be used to. I was gifted a small ice maker years ago and it worked ok for about a year until it eventually died on me. But the ice was always cloudy and similar in taste to the way tap water tastes from your faucet - not that great but that's what we grew up on (tap water) before all the fancy water filters and 'reverse osmosis' came into play and so, I was used to it. This machine makes all the difference and the ice tastes SO much better than I could have ever imagined! My husband and I are also frequent travelers with our RV and we fully intend on taking this portable baby with us on our road trips we have planned this summer. Its the perfect size. I have been using the machine several times a week (I purchased this in April)and it has been fantastic. Well worth the cost--shipped fast from Amazon--the packing was excellent and I absolutely love the stainless steel finish because it goes perfectly with my other stainless steel finished appliance in my kitchen. No dislikes whatsoever! I would definitely recommend this ice maker to everyone.

Luma Comfort EC110S Portable Evaporative Cooler with 250 Square Foot Cooling, 500 CFM Review

This is a great machine, I have recommended it to everyone I know.

Here are some facts so you can see if it's right for you:

1) It cools the air. Enough so that if you point it at yourself you will get goosebumps. You can also use it as fan. It moves more air than a typical household fan.

2) It is only meant to cool 250 square feet which means it works wonders in our bedroom but in our living room it can cool down our sofa area but not the whole room.

3) It's louder than a fan but it's quieter than an idling truck.

4) Ridiculously easy to use, fill, and clean.

5) When you turn on the cooling element it will make a slight crinkling sound as water is sucked into the filter. That's normal. It also will decrease the fan speed if you have it on 3 (high) for a few minutes to get the cooling going and then will turn back to 3 (high) once it's cooled. Don't fiddle with it.

6) It has a timer that you can set in 30 minute intervals. The timer counts down in 30 minute intervals as well, which is a slight flaw in my opinion.

7) It doesn't oscillate. I'm not sure if any swamp coolers oscillate but it would have been so great if it did because it's too cold to have pointed directly at the bed continuously.

8) Lastly it works great in Colorado because of the arid environment (We're also somewhat high in elevation). It won't work as well in semi-arid or Mediterranean environments such as California (West of the Sierras).
