After researching suitable on demand water heaters for my off-grid cabin, this unit seemed adequate and reasonably priced.

No fittings (or regulator) are supplied with the unit and my cost was approximately $60 total (with a bit of leg work)to hook it up from a garden hose fitting to a shower head.

Install was minor and the unit fired up right away with the provided batteries. My water source is COLD at the cabin and the heater produces hot (enough for a shower) water once I dial down the flow to half. The resultant flow is similar to that of a low flow shower head in any home; adequate. Dial it down further and it is scolding (albeit at a lower flow rate).

Time will tell if it lasts but so far it's great.
