This has to be one of my most cherished possessions!
Many reviews state that they received their crock in several pieces. Mine arrived packaged in TWO boxes and TONS OF PACKING MATERIAL. I really think that after a few broken returns, Amazon got their act together and padded the dickens out of this thing! I really should have bought the 15 or 20 liter crock but then again I love to give Sauerkraut to everyone!!!
If you have never owned a fermentation crock, I urge you to buy one. It will last your whole life and you will love what you can make! It is so easy and makes a great family project. Getting the kids involved in making healthy food and showing them the fermentation process is a wonderful thing.

LIKES:
• The label came off so I could have one color (I hate stickers and labels)
• The color is a very dark brown and it has a flatter lid than the picture
• It comes with the weights!
DISLIKES:
R26; The water moat that hermetically seals the lid is a little too shallow so you have to keep filling it every couple of days to maintain the seal
• The side handles aren̵7;t really very good for grip but then if they were bigger making it easier for you to carry, they would break off more easily anyhow.
