We got one (Blendtec Wildside) and it's impressive. Made my first fruit smoothie and it scared the heck out of me with the noise and high RPMs but made a perfect, professional grade smoothie. Really perfect. Chopped up the ice so finely it didn't crunch in my mouth.Being an old helicopter pilot, I thought it had a governor failure and was about to pull the plug out of the wall because it was revving so high. I thought it was malfunctioning until I saw a timer countdown clock on the LCD, then decided to let 'er rip and hope for the best. It settled down after a bit using pre-programmed variable speeds and pulses to thoroughly mix the ingredients.
Super easy to pour and clean up too.
A winner in my book. Just consider ear plugs and tranquilizers on that first run so u don't panic. This moves at much higher speeds than your old blender or cuisnart.
