For years I've used a kerosene heater to heat my garage, and found it acceptable for occasional use. On my last trip to the gas station, Kerosene was over $5 per gallon. Now, each time I wanted to do a project in the garage during the winter, it cost me $3 to $4 just to take off the cold! Being the cheapskate that I am, I shopped the online used stuff site we all love, and purchased a used blue flame heater for $80, that looked like new. The owner told me it worked great. So I parted with the cash and hooked everything up to my new gas line in the garage. After an hour, I went out to see how things were going. Obviously, there was a problem, because the garage stunk to high heaven. I had just wasted $80.

After reeling from my loss of four crisp Twenty Dollar Bills, I suddenly became a very smart shopper. While I was not able to do comparisons on anything but paper, I decided on the ProCom based on what "seemed" to be the popularity of the system. Also, I went with the infra-red design, based on the notion that newer usually means improved. Minutes ago, I fired up my new heater, and I could not be happier.
